The colour of the fabric is the natural colours of the yarns . No dyes have been used . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEri Silk and Muga Silk are indigenous to the North Eastern States of India , particularly Assam . Muga silk is the rarest of silk from India. Muga cocoons produces a beautiful golden lustrous yarns . But Ghicha yarns are produced from cocoon waste . Therefore , they do not possess the lustre typical to filament yarns . Also , the yarns are coarse , uneven with dry hand feel . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEri Silk is a silk which is produced from ruptured cocoons. Hence known as Ahimsa Silk . The silk produced is spun silk . Therefore , it does not have the typical sheen associated with silks like mulberry . It feels and looks like cotton but with very unique properties like being anti -fungal . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEri silk natural colour ranges from off- white , cream to soft light brown colours. The light brown colours is produced from the Red Eri cocoons as red eri silk .. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGhicha silk is referred to a type of silk procured from the cocoon wastes of wild silk cocoons of Muga ,  or Tassar in India . Ghicha silk are coarser and do not possess the lustrous sheen like the reeled silk yarns . They are also uneven in fineness . And all these factors contribute in making these silk fabrics very unique and unlike any other fabrics made from natural yarns .\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe uneven dark lines visible in the fabric is due to the fact that the yarns present are hand spun and also because of Ghicha silk . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere may be slight inconsistencies or unevenness in the weave or fabric due to same reasons as above. \u003cbr\u003eThis fabric has a some crispness and dry texture , though has a good fall . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall , the hand feel is like cotton with subtle sheen due to the silks but stronger than cotton . \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fabric is ideal for items like Coats , Shift Dress , Skirts , Trousers , Jackets  , Sherwanis etc. We suggest using a lining for any item made from the fabric for longer shelf life. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a fabric , it can be washed . Use mild detergents or Shampoo . Hand wash separately . Do not wring . Shade Dry .
