The Saree has been made on the very basic handloom that does not use any jacquard design cards . In this type of loom , every motif needs to be hand picked .
Te designs and motifs are typical of the Mishing community of the region .
The saree has raw hand spun mulberry silk in both the warp and weft . The coloured motifs and the stripes are in viscose. This kind of silk is colloquially known as 'Nooni'.
The base Off white colour is the natural colour of the silk yarn .
Raw silks typically do not have the sheen associated with filament silk and are also much stiffer .
Hence the saree does not have sheen, has a stiff fall and crisp hand feel .
Please note , this saree is not recommended for first time wearer or for anyone who is not very comfortable wearing saris as they may find it difficult to wear .

Wash Care - This saree can be hand washed . Use mild temperature water and detergent .Do not wring . Shade Dry . Normal press using silk settings or higher depending upon the press .
