This is a genuine handloom sari from the hand looms of Assam, India.

The sari is a blend of modern aesthetics and traditional components like the 'Paan' ( betel leaf ) motif on the Pallu ( End Piece ) of the sari .

Made with Mulberry Silk and Eri Silks .

The body of the saree is mulberry silk by Eri silk . The saree has a extented pallu that has Mulberry Silk by Mulberry Silk that gives a different texture and Sheen to the Pallu .

Since Eri Silk is there, the sari does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. Eri Silk is the original Assam Silk. The lack of sheen and slight dryness is typical of Eri Silks. The Eri Yarns in this case have been treated with special techniques to get the soft handle required for this product.
