It has Modal in warp and raw mulberry silk in weft . Raw Mulberry silk is also known as 'Kesa Pat ' locally . Due to the presence of Mulberry silk , there is a very subtle sheen to the fabric . The presence of raw silk gives the set the translucent effect.
Modal is a natural fibre that is produced from wood pulps . It has subtle seen and has cool touch . Making it ideal for any summer wear.
All the interwoven motifs are in cotton / acrylic. Modal is a manmade fibre made from wood pulps . It is soft and cool and ideal for summer wear .
The set has a blouse piece in pink with borders .
The set is ideal for any formal occasion especially for daytime summer wear. The soft pastel colour palette gives a super cool vibe to the set.
The Mekhla and Chador is a traditional 2 piece dress from the North East State of Assam, India . The Mekhla is appx 1.20 Mt in length and 37" width when stitched. The Warp will have pleats when worn. The top part or 'chadar ' is a shawl or half -sari which is used to cover the upper portion of the body and is worn on top of the mekhla or wrap. The usual size is 3 Meters long and about 37 inches in width.
