Handwoven Silk Saree from our looms in Assam , India.

The Sari has mulberry silk in the warp and Eri silk in the weft and the interweaving motifs in Eri Silk. The mulberry silk in the warp is raw mulberry silk .

The off white / cream base is the natural colours of the eri silk yarn and mulberry silk yarns .

The beige extra weft motifs are in Muga Spun silk . Muga Spun silk is procured from the cocoon waste of Muga Silk cocoons and does not have the bright golden tone associated with Muga Silk . It has a very subtle sheen .

Since Eri Silk is there, the sari does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. Eri Silk is the original Assam Silk. The lack of sheen is typical of Eri Silks.

Also Raw mulberry silk is stiffer than mulberry silk. Hence the saree also has a crisp fall .

The sari is soft and light weight. Falls beautifully . And very easy to handle. It has slight dry texture as it has raw silk and eri silk .

The Sari has a plain blouse piece with a border.

The blouse and accessory on the mannequin are for image purposes only.

We try to capture the exact colours but due to lighting issues , there may be slight difference of colour between the actual product and that of the image. The pink colour is on the softer side .
