It has natural colour Merino wool in the warp and Natural dyed Eri Silk in the weft .
Handwoven on basic looms in twill and herringbone patterns .
Eri silk is procured from the caterpillar Samia Cynthia Ricini and is found in the north eastern state of Assam and nearby region. Eri Silk inherently does not have any bright sheen as it is always spun silk . It always has a very subtle sheen .
Eri Silk blends very well with yarns like linen or wool . Eri silk traditionally was used for winter wear attire in the region as it has iso thermal properties . Cool in summer and warm in winter . The blend of Merino wool and Eri silk gives the scarf more longevity , lightness and warmth .
