This is a genuine handloom production from our looms in Assam , India .
It is a 3 pc traditional attire - Mekhla Chador .
The Mekhla and Chador is a traditional 2 piece dress from the North East State of Assam, India . The Mekhla is appx 1.20 Mt in length and 37" width when stitched. The Warp will have pleats when worn. The top part or 'chadar ' is a shawl or half -sari which is used to cover the upper portion of the body and is worn on top of the mekhla or wrap. The usual size is 3 Meters long and about 37 inches in width.
The Set comes with mulberry 1 mt blouse pc .
The set has mulberry silk ( also known as pat silk ) in the warp and weft and the interwoven motifs in Muga Silk and golden zari. The mulberry silks have been natural dyed .
Muga silk is the rarest and the most expensive silk yarns produced in India . It is coveted for its natural golden sheen . Found only in this north eastern state of Assam . Here we have used Muga Silk and golden zari in the interwoven motifs.
The set comes with a blouse piece that has the borders on the sleeve .
