The saree has cotton yarns in the warp and Eri silk Yarns in the weft . The interwoven motif yarns are also in eri silk . Eri silk blends well with Cottons and this blend makes the saris more affordable and all weather saris .
Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. The lack of sheen is typical of Eri Silks.
Eri silk looks a lot like cotton but has silk properties . It is also easier to take care of and store than mulberry silk .
