Handloom Silk Saree from the looms of Assam, India.
The saree has Tassar Silk in the warp and Mulberry Silk in weft . Mulberry Silk is also known as Paat Silk in Assam. The motifs have been woven in Eri Silk . This saree is hundred percent silk.
The Sari has a blouse piece of the same colour and with wide borders .
The Sari is very light weight and easy to carry , wear and take care of .
We try our level best to capture the exact colours but due to the presence of silk and lighting effects, there could be very minor difference between the actual colour from the image colour.
Also note that these are handwoven products involving delicate yarns like silks and sometimes involving silk yarns that have very different properties .Hence ,there can be slight inconsistencies in surface . In this case the weft yarns are Mulberry silk which is smooth and very uniform in fineness but the warp yarns are tassar silk which is slightly uneven and crisp .
