Black Traditional 3 Pc Mekhela Chador Set woven in our looms in Assam .
It has mulberry silk in warp and mulberry silk in weft . The interwoven motifs are in natural brown eri silk.
The whole set is woven in mulberry silk by raw mulberry silk . That gives the set the translucent effect or Organza look . The local name for raw silk is ' Kesa Pat ' .
Sets like these tends to be a little fluffy . Extremely lightweight and the set is hundred percent silk as the interwoven motifs are also in silk .
The set has a black colour blouse with borders.

The Mekhla and Chador is a traditional 2 piece dress from the North East State of Assam, India . The Mekhla is appx 1.20 Mt in length and 37" width when stitched. The Warp will have pleats when worn. The top part or 'chadar ' is a shawl or half -sari which is used to cover the upper portion of the body and is worn on top of the mekhla or wrap. The usual size is 3 Meters long and about 37 inches in width.
