Tassar Silk - Listed as Vanya Silk or Wild Silk by the Central Silk Board of India , it is found mostly in the forest areas of Jharkhand , Chattisgarh & Orissa in India .Tassar silk yarn production is still a village activity & tribal activity providing means of employment to many women of these communities.
Natural Tassar comes in off whites to light golden shade depending upon many factors. The Indian Tassar is slightly brownish to brownish red in colour .
The Sari comes with a contrast stripe blouse piece that has a border , as shown in the pics .
We try to capture the exact colours but due to lighting and the presence of silks , there may be slight variation in colours of the actual product from that in the image.
