Classy and Simple Handloom Eri Silk Saree from our looms in Assam , India .
It has fine mill spun Eri Silk yarns in the warp and weft with very subtle stripe effect.
Eri silk is procured from the caterpillar Samia Cynthia Ricini and is found in the north eastern state of Assam and nearby region.
Eri is also categorised as Ahimsa or Peace Silk as it is one of the rare silk that is procured without killing the moth. Eri along with Muga Silk is indigenous to the region .
And Eri silk typically does not possess bright sheen like other silk . It possess subtle sheen that is very unique to Eri silk . Here since we have used mill spun eri silk yarns , the saree has beautiful fall and very subtle lustre .
Eri silks are easier to care for than mulberry or Tassar. They also have anti fungal properties that makes it excellent for anyone with skin allergies towards silks or other fibres.
The Saree comes with a blouse piece that has the border similar to the border of the saree.

Wash Care - Can hand wash . Use mild detergents or shampoo. Do not wring . Shade dry . Flat Dry . Normal press .
