This is a genuine handloom sari from our looms in Assam , India .
The sari has undyed raw mulberry silk in the warp and dyed raw silk in the weft .The motifs are in Eri Silk and Ghicha Silk . The chequered effect is achieved by inserting extra cotton yarns at regular interval. These kinds of material is colloquially known as ' Garidiya ' in the region.
The sari is sheer with a crisp soft hand feel and very light.
These saris have a tendency to be slightly fluffy.
It will settle down over the years .
The Sari comes with blouse piece that has similar body with borders. But you can use a contrast blouse or a plain silk blouse as well .
Ideal for any day wear functions or occasions.
