Motif Design

A hundred percent Eri Silk Stole that can also be used as a Dupatta to complement your Indian Ethnic suits.

The motifs are woven in Muga Spun Yarns. The motifs are typical of the region and are widely used in the traditional wear.

Since Eri Silk is there, the stole / dupatta does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Both Muga Silk and Eri Silk are indigenous Silk varieties from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. Eri Silk is the original Assam Silk. The lack of sheen and slight coarseness/ dryness is typical of Eri Silks. The Eri Yarns have been treated with special techniques to get the softer handle required for this product. Muga is known for its natural gold colours . Here Spun Muga has been used . hence no sheen .

The stole is soft and has a beautiful hand feel.

No dyes have been used in the production of this product.

Eri Silk is easier to take care of than other more delicate silks like Mulberry Silks. The production of Eri Silk is still majorly an indigenous activity of the tribal people of the region.

Please note that there could be slight imperfections as these are handloom products.

Please note that there could be some difference in colours between the actual product and that of the image due to photography and lighting issues.
