A hundred percent Eri Silk Shawl that can also be used as a Dupatta to complement your Indian Ethnic suits.

The motifs are woven in Ghica silks . The motifs are typical of the region and are widely used in the traditional wear.

Since Eri Silk is there, the stole / dupatta does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. Eri Silk is the original Assam Silk. The lack of sheen and slight coarseness/ dryness is typical of Eri Silks.

The Eri Silk used here are mill spun yarns . Therefore , they are smoother and more even than hand spun yarns and gives the shawl the subtle sheen .

The shawl is soft and has a beautiful hand feel.

Eri Silk is easier to take care of than other more delicate silks like Mulberry Silks. The production of Eri Silk is still majorly an indigenous activity of the tribal people of the region.

As a shawl , it is ideal for mild winter or indoor settings only .

Please note that there could be some difference in colours between the actual product and that of the image due to photography and lighting issues.
