A genuine handloom product from the looms of Assam, India.
The Sari has mulberry silk in the warp and eri silk in the weft and the interweaving motifs are in natural dyed Eri Silk .
The mulberry silk in this case is mulberry spun silk . Mulberry spun silk blends beautifully with Eri silk .
Mulberry Spun is derived from the waste of silk cocoons and yarns. It doesn't have the bright golden sheen of the filament mulberry silk yarns .
The saree has been woven in a time consuming manner where the back side is clean and the borders have been woven along the saree.
Since Eri Silk is there, the sari does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. The lack of sheen is typical of Eri Silks.
Eri silks are easier to care for than mulberry or Tassar. They also have anti fungal properties that makes it excellent for anyone with skin allergies towards silks or other fibres
Eri Silk feels & falls like cotton but with inherent silk properties.
The sari is very soft , light weight and airy . Falls beautifully . And very easy to handle. It is very lightweight .
The Sari has a plain blouse piece with a border.
The blouse and accessory on the mannequin are for image purposes only.
We try to capture the exact colours but due to lighting issues , there may be slight difference of colour between the actual product and that of the image. The yellow colour is on the brighter side .
Length - 5.5 mts . Width - 45"
