Tassar Silk - A wild variety of silk found mostly in the forest areas of Jharkhand , Chattisgarh & Orissa in India . Tassar silk yarn production is still a village activity & tribal activity providing means of employment to many women of these communities.
Since Eri Silk is there, the set does not have the typical sheen that is associated with Silks from India. Eri Silk is an indigenous Silk variety from India found in Assam and some other North Eastern States. The lack of sheen is typical of Eri Silks. Eri Silk is also known as peace silk or Ahimsa silk .
Eri Silk looks and feels like cotton but has the unique properties of silk . Eri Silk is a all weather silk and Eri creates a very unique texture . Here we have used fine mill spun Eri Silk that gives the set a soft hand feel and beautiful fall .
The fabric hand feel is very soft and the set is very easy to carry .
It has a blouse piece that comes with a border.
We try to capture the exact colours but due to lighting issues , there may be slight difference of colour between the actual product and that of the image.
