Tassar Silk - Listed as Vanya Silk or Wild Silk by the Central Silk Board of India , it is found mostly in the forest areas of Jharkhand , Chattisgarh & Orissa in India .Tassar silk yarn production is still a village activity & tribal activity providing means of employment to many women of these communities.
Natural Tassar comes in off whites to light golden shade depending upon many factors. The Indian Tassar is slightly brownish to brownish red in colour .
Tassar Noil is derived from the silk waste that is collected during the filament silk production process .
Noil silk typically does not have the sheen or colour that is present in the longer filament yarns . Hence , the saree has very subtle sheen and does not have the typical shine of tassar silk .
The Saree has a plain blouse piece with the borders .
The Saree is soft and very easy to handle .
