Two tone Mocha Brown Handloom Silk Saree from Assam
Two tone Mocha Brown Handloom Silk Saree from Assam
Handloom Hundred Percent Silk Saree from the looms of Assam, India.
The saree has Tassar silk in the warp and Mulberry Silk weft . Mulberry Silk is also known as Paat Silk in Assam. The motifs have been woven in Eri Silk and Muga Spun silk . The Saree has all the four commercial silks found in India .
Tassar Silk , Muga Silk and Eri Silk are listed as Vanya Silk by the Central silk board of India . Muga Silk and Eri silk are the two unique and indigenous silks from Assam . Tassar is mostly found in Central Indian states of Odisha & Jharkhand . Muga Spun is procured from the cocoon wastes . These are spun yarns and hence do not possess the lustrous golden colour that is associated with Muga Silk . Eri Silk is always spun , hence it does not possess the typical sheen associated with silks . It has very subtle sheen .
The Sari has a blouse piece of the same colour and with borders .
We try our level best to capture the exact colours but due to the presence of silk and lighting effects, there could be very minor difference between the actual colour from the image colour.
